Aunt Suzie's Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 c. butter flavored shortening
1/2 c. Butter
3/4 c. gran. sugar
3/4 c. dark brown sugar
Cream until light and fluffy.
Add:
2 eggs
1 teas. vanilla
Add:
1 teas. salt
1 teas. bkg. soda
Cream
Add the rest by hand:
1 1/2 c. flour
2 c. oats
Opt.
1/2 bag choc. chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Bake 375 degr. 11 minutes
