1 c. gran sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. peanut butter
Cream together, add:
2 eggs
2 teas. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
Beat well, add by hand:
3 1/2 c. flour
2 teas. baking soda
1 teas. salt
Shape into 1" balls, roll into gran. sugar. Place on cookie sheet. Bake 375 degrees 8 minutes. Remove from oven. Press candy kiss in center or make a depression with thumb and fill with favorite jam. Return to oven and cook 3 more minutes.
